Sumaya Islam, Managing Director of CREATO, was recently invited to speak at a workshop, “AI Innovation, Youth Creativity, and Sustainable Design,” held as part of the “Design & AI Revolution” program organized by IDB in youth partnership collaboration with JCI Dhaka Uptown 2025 on September 27th at ICCB, Bashundhara.
As the workshop conductor, Ms. Sumaya guided the participants through the transformative role of AI in interior design, highlighting the powerful intersection of youthful creativity and sustainable practices. In just 40 minutes, the participants delved into how AI can enhance creativity, promote eco-friendly design solutions, and inspire the next generation of designers to think boldly.

NEXT INTERIOR DESIGN BANGLADESH: INTECH EXPO 2025

INTERIOR DESIGN BANGLADESH-IDB organized a day-long workshop titled “Next Interior Design Bangladesh” at INTECH EXPO 2025. It was a fruitful opportunity for practicing interior designers, architects, students of interior design to gain knowledge shared by a panel of renowned architects and interior industry experts of the country on important topics of interior design. The workshop content included topics Interior Lighting, Local Materials, Indoor Plants for Interior, Interior Color Therapy.

NASA SPACE APPS CHALLENGE 2023 & 2024

The NASA International Space Apps Challenge is a hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, technologists, and innovators around the world! Organized under the auspices of the United States’ National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the event aims to unite talented technologists, scientists, designers, artists, educators, and entrepreneurs from 185 countries to craft innovative solutions to global challenges. As part of this initiative, students from nine cities across Bangladesh - Dhaka, Chattagram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Cumilla participate in this grand hackathon. Over the past 11 years, Bangladesh has proudly secured the world champion title four times, including three consecutive wins, a record that underscores the nation's growing prowess in innovation and technology.
